Softcell 25mm Blackout Fabrics create a calming ambiance ideally suited for bedrooms, enabling a good nights sleep.

The light proof lining to the cellular fabric ensures maximised insullation properties.

The fabrics all have a white back with the colour on the room side.

Although no light will come through the fabric you will get light around the edges.

Measurement from Top of Blind to Floor

Inside Recess

The recess is inside the window opening. Choose this option if you want to the blind to lie in the recess of the window.

Width: Measure the inside width of the window at the top middle and bottom. Use the narrowest width measurement always using a metal tape measure.

Height: Measure the height of the window at the left, centre and right. Use the shortest height measurement always using a metal tape measure.

We will deduct the manufacturers recommended tolerance off the width/drop of the blind to ensure the blind operates perfectly within the window recess.

Outside Recess/Exact

Outside Recess/Exact is the outside of the window opening, overlapping the window recess. Choose this option if you want the blind to overlap the window recess.

Width
To minimise light leakage it's recommended that the blind overlaps the window recess on the width by least 40mm each side (60mm in the case of vertical blinds).

Height
When measuring the height take into account the required space for the mounting bracket. A flat surface of a minimum 70mm above is required (50mm in the case of vertical blinds). The overlap at the bottom of the blind is a matter of personal choice but please take into account obstacles such as radiators.

The Softcell blinds are available in a number of operating systems to enhance light flow and privacy.

BOTTOM UP

The fabric is fixed to the headrail allowing you to raise and lower to the ideal position. Available in the J01 freehanging system with cord control or J03 tensioned system with handle control

TOP DOWN BOTTOM UP

Allows the fabric to be placed at any point of the window, light can flow through both top and bottom whist maintaining privacy. Available in the J02 freehanging system with cord control or J04 tensioned system with handle control

TENSIONED BOTTOM UP WITH FIXED BOTTOM BAR

The fabric is fixed to the headrail allowing you to raise and lower to the ideal position. The blind has a fixed bottom bar and tension wires between the headrail and the fixed bar. This is the J06 system operated by handle

TENSIONED TOP DOWN BOTTOM UP WITH FIXED BOTTOM BAR

Decora Softcell Rail Colour

The softcell blinds are available with a choice of rail colour.

All blinds over 1000mm will be supplied with the reinforced profile. If you have a mix of blind sizes and require the profiles to match please let us know, as this cannot be altered at a later time.

Decora Softcell Handle

The J03, J04, J06 and J07 operating systems that are operated by a handle, come complete with the standard handle.

Handle will be colour matched to the profile colour selected

Blind Installation Heights

The 2014 changes to the child safety requirements of BS EN 13120:2009+A12014 place an obligation on all blind manufacturers to sell compliant products.

If you do not know the installation height of the blind please enter 00 in the box and your blind will be manufactured in accordance with the Safety Regulation requirements.

If you input an installation height (this is the height the mounting brackets will be installed above the floor level) then your blind may be manufactured with longer controls providing they confirm to the child safety legislation.
