Inside Recess

The recess is inside the window opening. Choose this option if you want to the blind to lie in the recess of the window.

Width: Measure the inside width of the window at the top middle and bottom. Use the narrowest width measurement always using a metal tape measure.

Height: Measure the height of the window at the left, centre and right. Use the shortest height measurement always using a metal tape measure.

We will deduct the manufacturers recommended tolerance off the width/drop of the blind to ensure the blind operates perfectly within the window recess.

Outside Recess/Exact

Outside Recess/Exact is the outside of the window opening, overlapping the window recess. Choose this option if you want the blind to overlap the window recess.

Width
To minimise light leakage it's recommended that the blind overlaps the window recess on the width by least 40mm each side (60mm in the case of vertical blinds).

Height
When measuring the height take into account the required space for the mounting bracket. A flat surface of a minimum 70mm above is required (50mm in the case of vertical blinds). The overlap at the bottom of the blind is a matter of personal choice but please take into account obstacles such as radiators.

Standard Brackets

Your Luxaflex® Roller Blind will come with standard metal Type 10 brackets in a choice of White, Grey or Black. These come with a plastic slide over cover.

Design Edition Bracket & Bottom Bar

As an alternative you can select the Aluminium Design Edition brackets in a choice of colour. These come with a matching bottom bar and plastic end caps.

TYPE 20 - Mounting Profile

Saves time on installation. This blind is pre-fitted with a mounting profile which is easily installed with the help of adjustable clip brackets, allowing for exact level adjustment both sideways and up and down. This can be face or top fixed. Available in White, Grey or Black.

Blinds ordered with LiteRise® or SoftRaise® control are only available with this mounting profile

Luxaflex® Bottom Rail

As standard your Chain Operated, LiteRise® or SoftRaise® operated Luxaflex® Roller Blind will come with an aluminium oval unwrapped bottom bar available in White, Grey or Black.

Alternatively you can select the wrapped oval bottom bar - (Not Available with LiteRise or SoftRaise Control)

A choice of decorative trims are also available in a choice of finishes - (Not available with LiteRise or SoftRaise Control)

It is important to select whether you are going to Face or Top fix your roller blind especially if you have chosen the LiteRise® control option as this will affect the drop of the blind.

Standard Roll

All Roller blinds are made as Standard - with the fabric falling off the roller towards the window. This option as always recommended when using a Dim out / Blackout fabric as this will reduce the light entering the room because the fabric will be closer to the window frame.

Reverse Rolled

A Reverse rolled Roller blind is made with the fabric falling off the roller away from the window. This is usually preferred when you are trying to miss PVC window handles. We always recommend this option when ordering a printed fabric.

This option is recommened for Blackout Blinds as the back of the fabric can be a different colour.

Blind Installation Heights

The 2014 changes to the child safety requirements of BS EN 13120:2009+A12014 place an obligation on all blind manufacturers to sell compliant products.

If you do not know the installation height of the blind please enter 00 in the box and your blind will be manufactured in accordance with the Safety Regulation requirements.

If you input an installation height (this is the height the mounting brackets will be installed above the floor level) then your blind may be manufactured with longer controls providing they confirm to the child safety legislation.
