Is your recess solid?

Because the bracket system pushes out with up to 60kg of force, your recess needs to be solid. Tests have been carried out on a whole host of substructures including brick, tile, plaster board and wood which are all suitable.

However if your recess moves when pushed, for example if you have plasterboard with nothing behind it, then your window won't be suitable for Grip Fit.

Is your recess deep enough?

The cassette is a total of 8cm deep, so your recess must be at least this deep to house the cassette.

Are your walls parallel?

The Grip Fit roller system grips onto the side of your recess. This means that your walls need to be parallel to each other and not taper forward or back where you are going to install the blind as this would stop the rubber compound from making contact with the wall fully.

HOW TO MEASURE FOR GRIP FIT.

It is important to use a steel tape measure as fabric tapes can stretch over time.

• Measure the depth of your recess. It needs to be at least 8cm deep.
• Check the walls are solid by pushing on them with your hand. If they move or bend then they are not suitable.
• Measure the width of your recess at the top of the window. It is important to measure to the nearest mm.
• Measure the drop of the recess in three places.

Grip Fit blinds are ONLY suitable for recess fit.

Standard Roll

All Roller blinds are made as Standard - with the fabric falling off the roller towards the window. This option as always recommended when using a Dim out / Blackout fabric as this will reduce the light entering the room because the fabric will be closer to the window frame.

Reverse Rolled

A Reverse rolled Roller blind is made with the fabric falling off the roller away from the window. This is usually preferred when you are trying to miss PVC window handles. We always recommend this option when ordering a printed fabric.

This option is recommened for Blackout Blinds as the back of the fabric can be a different colour.

As standard Roller Blinds come with a Right Hand plastic chain on the right.

You can choose to have your control on the left; you can also choose to have a Nickel Chain on the Right or the Left.

PLEASE NOTE: Blinds over 2000mm width/drop will automatically come with a Nickel Chain.

The Grip Fit No Drill Roller Blind comes complete with the 70mm closed cassette, with or without the fabric insert.

Grip Fit Fascia comes complete with matching slider bracket and cover caps.

Blind Installation Heights

The 2014 changes to the child safety requirements of BS EN 13120:2009+A12014 place an obligation on all blind manufacturers to sell compliant products.

If you do not know the installation height of the blind please enter 00 in the box and your blind will be manufactured in accordance with the Safety Regulation requirements.

If you input an installation height (this is the height the mounting brackets will be installed above the floor level) then your blind may be manufactured with longer controls providing they confirm to the child safety legislation.
