  1. Q. Can you tell me why it takes 7-10 working days for the delivery of Genuine Velux blinds?

    YES All Velux products come directly from the Velux factory in Denmark, all products have to be shipped and go through customs. Please be aware of anyone quoting a shorter delivery time this is untrue, unless of course they are actual stockists.

  2. Q. Could I order a sample/Brochure of the blind material I am interested in?

    YES Samples are available please fill out the Request a sample form on our home page with your name, address, and the type of blind with up to 4 colours of the samples. These usually take a few days to arrive and are free of charge.

  3. Q. Can I give a work/ neighbours address for my delivery?

    YES a work address Neighbours address can be used, please put these details in the “Delivery Address” part of the order form.

  4. Q. Are the Velux blinds genuine Velux blinds and where do your Velux blinds come from?

    YES our Velux blinds are Genuine Velux blinds these are dispatched directly from the Velux factory to us and then we forward them onto you as soon as we recieve them.

  5. Q. Do your Velux blinds come with a guarantee?

    YES all the Velux blinds and accessories come with a 2 year manufacturer’s guarantee.

  6. Q. Can you tell me what is the difference between a Siesta blind and a roller blind?

    YES the Siesta blind will provide a blackout effect; these also have an outer aluminium foil that reflects excessive heat back out of the room in the summer whilst retaining heat within the room in the winter months. A Roller blind has a translucent fabric; this will give a diffused light effect in the room.

  7. Q. Do your prices include VAT and delivery?

    YES All prices are inclusive of VAT all orders under £75.00 have a delivery charge of £5.80 (Free of charge on orders over £75.00) UK mainland and Northern Ireland.All products to Southern Ireland Ireland including Velux are charged at a standard rate of £24.50 per order.Please contact us if you are outside of these area. (restrictions many apply on large/bulky orders).

  8. Q. Do the Velux Siesta blinds really blackout the window?

    YES the Siesta blind gives a total sun block,

  9. Q. Can I use one remote control to operate multiple blinds?

    YES Multiple remote control blinds can be operated using one hand set each blind supplied is pre boxed and will have a handset (use as spare)

  10. Q. My Velux window hasn’t got a plate or code can you help?

    YES Please email your visible glass size as long as it has the name Velux on the handle we should be able to determine the blind require, If your window isn’t supplied by Velux please supply as much information as possible we will probably still be able to help.

  11. Q. My old roller blind look different to the picture on your web site?

    In June 2005 Velux changed the way they made roller blinds, so they might look slightly different

  12. Q. Can you tell me what White line mean?

    YES our range of Velux blinds come with aluminium fascia and side channels as standard. White line blinds, with their white fascia and side channels, add the perfect finishing touch to your Velux blind. These are Suitable for all windows including white polyurethane or painted Velux roof windows.

  13. Q. I can’t see anything about the duo blind option can you help?

  14. Q. Can I have a standard roller blind made with Siesta or roller blind fabric to match?

    YES we are able to offer a standard roller blind with any genuine Velux roller or siesta fabrics attached please email your approximate sizes for a quote to

  15. Q. I can’t reach my blind to operate, it can you help?

    YES to open and close the blind, you will need to purchase a rod control. Please note you will need to purchase rod adaptor for each blind that you will be opening with the rod control. Alternatively we can supply a battery operated remote control blind.

  16. Q. Will a Genuine Velux blind fit another manufactures window?

    No a genuine Velux blind will only fit a genuine Velux window; however we do supply other makes of skylight window blinds. Please email you requirements to

  17. Q. Can I use the Control rod to open the window itself?

    YES you can use a rod control to open a GGL and a GGU window, if you have a GPL or a GHL you will need a slightly different rod control please contact and we will gladly price this for you.

  18. Q. I have a GPL GHL window do you supply a control rod to operate these windows?

    YES you will need a slightly different rod control please contact and we will gladly price this for you.

  19. Q. Is it possible to return my blind?

    YES Please refer to out 'Terms & Conditions' as different procedures apply to different products.

  20. Q. The code on my parcel has a different code to what I ordered can you help?

    YES the code on your parcel may be slightly different from the one ordered. The code May say DKL this is the code for a siesta blind or RFL this is a roller blind or PAL which is the code for a pleated blind, The second part of the code i.e. M04 this is the window code that tells us the size of blind you require.

  21. Q. I have a Velux blind fitted already can I reuse the fittings?

    YES however we do recommend you use the new fittings with your new blind, so as not to create a problem at a later date by mixing old components with new ones.

  22. Q. Do you have a Showroom?

    No Sorry we do not have a showroom as we are internet based company.

  23. Q. Are all Velux blinds easy to install?

    YES all Velux blinds come with clear easy to follow instructions and should only take minutes to install.

  24. Q. What if I’m not in when you try to deliver my order, can you redeliver again?

    YES If no one is in on the first delivery attempt they will leave you a card stating the date and time of the attempted delivery. You will then be able to contact your local depot to either arrange a new delivery day, or arrange to call in and pick the parcel up yourself.

  25. Q. Do you deliver to the Republic of Ireland?

    YES we deliver to the UK including the Channel Islands, Isle of White, Jersey, Guernsey, Isle of Man, Northern Ireland etc. We also deliver to the Republic of Ireland or Europe.

  26. Q. Is it possible to change my delivery address after I have placed an order?

    YES although we cannot guarantee that we would be able to change the address for you once the parcel has been dispatched, but please email is and we will end ever to get your delivery address updated.

  27. Q. My order hasn’t been delivered but payment has been taken off my credit card is this usual?

    YES it is our standard practice when ordering on-line and the one take by many major internet companies’s to take payment with order.

  28. Q. Do you have a fitting service?

    YES We offer a fitting service for all blind although they are easy to install.

  29. Q. My window code isn’t on you web site can you help?

    YES if it is a Genuine Velux blind, then we will be able to supply it for you. Please email your visible glass size to enable us to verify your window size.

  30. Q. Can I have a Siesta blackout blind for the Conservation type windows?

    YES we are please to announce we can supply a conservation window blind with any fabric including the Siesta blackout fabrics. We call this a dim-out blind, due to the construction of the window there is no side channels so a peer of light will enter around the blind.
