Firstly there are a couple of points to bear in mind:
Consider your window handles and how far they protrude out into the room, you can measure this and add it to your head rail depth to avoid the blind catching.
Blind controls for raise /lower and slat tilting, always consider the positioning of these to minimise the amount of cords/strings within the bay.
Now let’s get started, once you have chosen your style / type of blind, you need to find out the depth of the headrail, This information is crucial with bay windows as the blinds meet in the corners of the bay and they should not overlap or touch for perfect operation of the blinds, each product/range has its own specification so just email or give us a call and we will gladly help with this.

The Square Bay
There are three options as below:
Option A Measure tight corner to corner on all three sides and then deduct the depth of the headrail from each of the two side blinds, once on the order page of the website you can then select the recess option. (This allows the manufactures to make a small fitting allowance). The drop measurement will be ceiling to window sill/floor or from where you would like the blind to hang from to where you would like it to finish.
Option B Measure tight corner to corner and then deduct the size of the headrail from each end of the front blind measurement and once again select the recess option from the website (This allows the manufactures to make a small fitting allowance) . The drop measurement will be ceiling to window sill/floor or from where you would like the blind to hang from to where you would like it to finish.
Option C This requires a little more work on your behalf, cut a square piece of cardboard using the depth of the head rail measurement and place in each corner of the bay, lightly mark the exposed cardboard edges on your window frame and measure between the marks at the front edge of the bay and from the marks to the bay ends at each side. Once again select the recess option on the website (This allows the manufactures to make a small fitting allowance). The drop measurements will be ceiling to window sill/floor or from where you would like the blind to hang from to where you would like it to finish.
The Angled Bay
Once again this requires a little more work on your behalf, this time cut two pieces a of cardboard using the depth of the head rail measurement, place the cardboard in the bay as shown and lightly mark where the corners of the cardboard touch, you will note that this position is variable so choose what looks aesthetically best for your situation, then measure between the marks and once again select the recess option on the website (This allows the manufactures to make a small fitting allowance). The drop measurements will be ceiling to window sill/floor or from where you would like the blind to hang from to where you would like it to finish.
Cut cardboard as before and follow previous instructions at each angle.
