Bead Depth

Your blind fits by clipping into the brackets that slot behind the gasket in your UPVC window.

To ensure you obtain the correct brackets you will need to measure your bead depth. To do this place a credit card over the corner of the window where the glass meets the gasket and take a note of the measurement from the glass to the edge of the card, this will be your bead depth and will determine the size of bracket required, see image below

Tilt Bar Location

The rotation of the shutter slats is controlled via a tilt bar that can be situated on the Left or the Right of the shutter.

If you have a long window or door you many want to operate the top section independently from the bottom. If this is the case you can select the Unisplit Tilt Bar which allows you to have two controls on one shutter.

Window Handle Location

If your window has a handle, the shutter will be manufactured with a handle rebate to accommodate. This will allow you to open and close your window with the shutter in place.

To allow the manufacturers to make the blind with the handle rebate in the correct place, you will need to let us know the handles location.

Multiple Panels

It is possible to fit multiple shutter panels side by side within a single pane of glass, up to a maximum of six panels, ideal for larger windows. See examples below.

The manufacturers will then divide the given glass size equally into the number of panels required.

Each extra panel will be supplied with a right-hand over left-hand astragal.
