Control Lengths

As a requirement of EN13120, the maximum control length is determined by the safety device used on the product as well as the drop of the blind or installation height. The below details the maximum length of looped chain available.

Recess or Exact

Inside Recess

The recess is inside the window opening. Choose this option if you want to the blind to lie in the recess of the window.

Width: Measure the inside width of the window at the top middle and bottom. Use the narrowest width measurement always using a metal tape measure.

Height: Measure the height of the window at the left, centre and right. Use the shortest height measurement always using a metal tape measure.

We will deduct the manufacturers recommended tolerance off the width/drop of the blind to ensure the blind operates perfectly within the window recess.

Outside Recess/Exact

Outside Recess/Exact is the outside of the window opening, overlapping the window recess. Choose this option if you want the blind to overlap the window recess.

Width
To minimise light leakage it's recommended that the blind overlaps the window recess on the width by least 40mm each side (60mm in the case of vertical blinds).

Height
When measuring the height take into account the required space for the mounting bracket. A flat surface of a minimum 70mm above is required (50mm in the case of vertical blinds). The overlap at the bottom of the blind is a matter of personal choice but please take into account obstacles such as radiators.

Luxaflex® Duette/Plisse® Blind Telescopic Wand

If you choose Hand/Wand control you can also choose to purchase a 3m telescopic wand to aid the opening and closing of your blind if it is high up or out of reach.

Luxaflex® Duette® Side Channels

Although the Blackout Fabrics do not let light in through them you do get light leakage around the edges.

To minimise the amount of light leakage you can select to add side channels to your blind.

These are a 'U' shaped track that fit down the sides of your window that the edge of the 25mm & 32mm fabrics runs inside. Thus minimising the amount of light creeping around the sides of the fabric.

Side channels are NOT pre-drilled.

NOTE: These side channels are designed to fit with the standard 110 model with the control option 1 & 2 ONLY

Luxaflex® Duette®/Plisse Profile & Hardware Colour

The head rail and bottom rail are colour co-ordinated. There are a total of 6 hardware colours.

Of course you can select one of the other colours to suit your window frame and/or interior.

Luxaflex® Duette®/Plisse Blind Models

Standard Stack - This is the standard model that has a fixed headrail at the top for top stacking.

Available with ALL control options.

Top Down, Bottom Up - This model has a fixed head rail although the fabric is not fixed to it. The fabric has top and bottom rails fixed to it. There are visible tension wires when the blind is stacked at the bottom.

Available with control options Cord & Cord Lock, Smartcord & Literise ( There will be controls on both side of the blind)

Model 3242 - This model has no fixed rails and works by means of side tension wires, therefore you will need to fit mounting plates in all 4 corners. (see size restrictions below) Hand Control ONLY

Min Width 250mm - Max Width 1700mm - Min Drop 100mm - Max Drop 2300mm (Blinds over 1280mm with be supplied with two handles)

Mounting Plate Dimensions - 20mm x 15mm x 5mm

TruFit - Available with 25mm Duette fabrics and 20mm Plisse fabrics ONLY Fits directly onto the glass without drilling by means of adhesive strips that are approximately 18mm wide.

Its a simple handle operated lifting system, ideal for Tilt and Turn windows, doors and also standard windows. The Top/Down Bottom Up operation enables you to positions your blind exactly where you want it.

The top and bottom moving rails are approximately 22mm deep x 20mm high.
