Decora Roller Blind - Fabric Box Colours

Inside Recess

The recess is inside the window opening. Choose this option if you want to the blind to lie in the recess of the window.

Width: Measure the inside width of the window at the top middle and bottom. Use the narrowest width measurement always using a metal tape measure.

Height: Measure the height of the window at the left, centre and right. Use the shortest height measurement always using a metal tape measure.

We will deduct the manufacturers recommended tolerance off the width/drop of the blind to ensure the blind operates perfectly within the window recess.

Outside Recess/Exact

Outside Recess/Exact is the outside of the window opening, overlapping the window recess. Choose this option if you want the blind to overlap the window recess.

Width
To minimise light leakage it's recommended that the blind overlaps the window recess on the width by least 40mm each side (60mm in the case of vertical blinds).

Height
When measuring the height take into account the required space for the mounting bracket. A flat surface of a minimum 70mm above is required (50mm in the case of vertical blinds). The overlap at the bottom of the blind is a matter of personal choice but please take into account obstacles such as radiators.

Standard Roll

All Roller blinds are made as Standard - with the fabric falling off the roller towards the window. This option as always recommended when using a Dim out / Blackout fabric as this will reduce the light entering the room because the fabric will be closer to the window frame.

Reverse Rolled

A Reverse rolled Roller blind is made with the fabric falling off the roller away from the window. This is usually preferred when you are trying to miss PVC window handles. We always recommend this option when ordering a printed fabric.

This option is recommened for Blackout Blinds as the back of the fabric can be a different colour.

As standard Decora Roller Blinds come with a Right Hand plastic chain on the right.

You can choose to have your control on the left; you can also choose to have a Nickel Chain on the Right or the Left.

These chains will have a Child Safe Break Away Connector

PLEASE NOTE: Blinds over 2000mm width/drop will automatically come with a Nickel Chain.

Alternatively you can choose to have a Sprung Blind and choose a decorative pull.

Decora Motorised Blind Remote Controls

There are a number of ways you can control your Decora Motorised Blind, these are explained below:

If you are going to operate your blind via a home automation system, a remote control is still required for the initial setup.

Situo Single Channel Remote Control

Single Channel Remote Control The Situo RTS is a basic remote used to control a single product at a time

Single Channel Remote This is a basic remote that can be programmed to  adjust the speed at which the blind is controlled Can have upto 8 items operating in unison on the single channel

As standard Decora Roller Blinds come with standard universal face/top fix brackets

Alternatively you can select either of the below Cassette Systems in White, Anthracite or Black finish. These all come complete with top fix brackets as standard.

40mm Open Cassette System with or without fabric insert

70mm Closed Cassette System with or without fabric insert

NOTE: Alternative brackets availabe but must be requested at point of order. These will be chargeable at a later date.

As standard your Decora roller blind will have a standard sewn bottom pocket.

Or you can have the Aluminium Double Fabric wrapped bottom bar where the fabric is wrapped around the front and back of the bottom rail.

Alternatively can personalise your Decora Roller Blind by choosing one of the Unishade metallic finished bottom rails or a Sunwood 50mm bottom bar. 

NOTE: Decorative Pulls are not available with Decorative Bottom Bars

Wood finish using 50mm slat only. Maximum width of wood finish 2400mm

Note:

Unishade 15mm bottom bar not available on Halo, Mood, Puriti and Solice fabrics

Unishade 30mm bottom bar not available on Halo, Mood, Puriti, Solice, Altea, Alvor, Blimpse, Focal, Marlow and Vivi fabrics

Why not personalise your Decora Roller Blind with equally spaced plastic click and twist eyelets along the bottom of the blind. The number of Eyelets will depend on the width of the blind.

Eyelets are 55mm

Not available on Halo, Mood, Puriti and Solice fabrics.

Create a multi-toned roller by adding a Splash (Translucent) or Bella (Blackout) fabric bottom pocket: choose from a wide selection of colours.

The pocket will be 36mm in size. You will see 18mm of contrasting colour fabric from the front and the back of the blind. See below for an example

Blind Installation Heights

The 2014 changes to the child safety requirements of BS EN 13120:2009+A12014 place an obligation on all blind manufacturers to sell compliant products.

If you do not know the installation height of the blind please enter 00 in the box and your blind will be manufactured in accordance with the Safety Regulation requirements.

If you input an installation height (this is the height the mounting brackets will be installed above the floor level) then your blind may be manufactured with longer controls providing they confirm to the child safety legislation.
