Inside Recess

The recess is inside the window opening. Choose this option if you want to the blind to lie in the recess of the window.

Width: Measure the inside width of the window at the top middle and bottom. Use the narrowest width measurement always using a metal tape measure.

Height: Measure the height of the window at the left, centre and right. Use the shortest height measurement always using a metal tape measure.

We will deduct the manufacturers recommended tolerance off the width/drop of the blind to ensure the blind operates perfectly within the window recess.

Outside Recess/Exact

Outside Recess/Exact is the outside of the window opening, overlapping the window recess. Choose this option if you want the blind to overlap the window recess.

Width
To minimise light leakage it's recommended that the blind overlaps the window recess on the width by least 40mm each side (60mm in the case of vertical blinds).

Height
When measuring the height take into account the required space for the mounting bracket. A flat surface of a minimum 70mm above is required (50mm in the case of vertical blinds). The overlap at the bottom of the blind is a matter of personal choice but please take into account obstacles such as radiators.

Tilt and Lift Controls

The PT Wooden Venetian Blinds have the Tilt cord Controls on the left side and the Lift Cord Controls on the right side.

These are standard and no alternatives are available.

PT Wood Decorative Tapes

As standard your PT Wooden Venetian Blind will be manufactured with string and ladder braids.

Alternatively you can select Decorative Tapes that run vertically down your blind and cover the string & ladder braids.

25mm wood slat - 19mm wide tapes

35mm wood slat - 19mm wide tapes

50mm wood slat - 25 or 38mm wide tapes

63mm wood slat - 38mm wide tapes

As standard your PT venetian blind will come complete with a matching valance.

However if you wish to hide the ends of the headrail at the ends you may want to order the valance returns

These are especially good for blinds being fitted outside the recess.

As standard your PT Wooden Venetian Blind comes with Universal End Box Brackets that can be face or top fixed.

As an alternative you can select Universal Swivel Brackets that can be face or top fixed anywhere along the blind cassette length.

If you have window handles that stick out from your window and you want to mount your blind further away from the glass you can select the Universal Swivel Extension Brackets.

These allow you to mount your blind approximately 100mm forward of your window.

If you are ordering Blinds to sit next to each other or in a bay you can select to have the slats/vanes lining up across several blinds. The Blinds must be installed at the same height and have the same drop.

The manufacturers will align the slats/vanes as closely as possible.

Please Note: The number of ladder cords or tapes on a blind varies according to the blind width. Even the smallest difference in size can result in a different number of ladder cords or tapes - If you need to know this please contact us
