Luxaflex Vertical Blind Transparent Grey & Black - 89mm

Inside Recess

The recess is inside the window opening. Choose this option if you want to the blind to lie in the recess of the window.

Width: Measure the inside width of the window at the top middle and bottom. Use the narrowest width measurement always using a metal tape measure.

Height: Measure the height of the window at the left, centre and right. Use the shortest height measurement always using a metal tape measure.

We will deduct the manufacturers recommended tolerance off the width/drop of the blind to ensure the blind operates perfectly within the window recess.

Outside Recess/Exact

Outside Recess/Exact is the outside of the window opening, overlapping the window recess. Choose this option if you want the blind to overlap the window recess.

Width
To minimise light leakage it's recommended that the blind overlaps the window recess on the width by least 40mm each side (60mm in the case of vertical blinds).

Height
When measuring the height take into account the required space for the mounting bracket. A flat surface of a minimum 70mm above is required (50mm in the case of vertical blinds). The overlap at the bottom of the blind is a matter of personal choice but please take into account obstacles such as radiators.

Luxaflex® Vertical Mono Operation

 

With only 1 control chain you can tilt and draw/slide the vanes. This simple to use metal chain control is now standard on Luxaflex® 89mm and 127mm Vertical Blinds up to a width of 4000mm.

Mono Control is not available on the 52mm PVC vane vertical blinds.

 

Blinds over 4000mm wide will be supplied with a metal chain tilt and polyester draw/slide cord controls.

Luxaflex® Vertical Head Rail

Luxaflex® Vertical Blinds as standard come with a white head rail with metal chain controls.

Alternatively you can select an Silver, Brown or Black head rail

(Brown only available with Chain/Cord operations - not mono controls)

Luxaflex® Vertical: Stacking Options

Luxaflex® offer you the following stacking options so that you can select the one that suits your window best.

NOTE: When the vanes are fully open and stacked at the chosen position the following gap will be left between the end vane and the end of the track. This is so that you can stack your vanes in either the open or closed position.

89mm vane - Gap of approximately 45mm

127mm vane - Gap of approximately 64mm

250mm vane - Gap of approximately 125mm

Luxaflex® Fabric Vertical Blinds

As standard your Luxaflex® Fabric Vertical blind comes complete with weights in the bottom of each vane with chains that connect and run along the bottom of each vane.

As an alternative you may not want the connecting chains along the bottom of your vertical vanes. If this is the case you can select the 'Sealed Bottom Pocket' option.

This is where the weight is sealed inside a pocket at the bottom each vane and no connecting chain is used.

Blind Installation Heights

The 2014 changes to the child safety requirements of BS EN 13120:2009+A12014 place an obligation on all blind manufacturers to sell compliant products.

If you do not know the installation height of the blind please enter 00 in the box and your blind will be manufactured in accordance with the Safety Regulation requirements.

If you input an installation height (this is the height the mounting brackets will be installed above the floor level) then your blind may be manufactured with longer controls providing they confirm to the child saftey legislation.
