It is important that ALL deliveries are checked at the time of delivery and if damaged, are signed for as damaged. 

Any damage or faults MUST be reported in writing to info@valeblinds.com with photographic evidence within 2 working days. Damages/faults not signed for and reported within this timescale mean a claim is not possible.

 

Our terms and conditions apply to all online conditions of sale from our web site. The terms are set out below. Please read them before ordering. You may wish to print a copy for future reference. Other terms and conditions on our site such as our privacy policy should also be read as part of this agreement. We may change these terms from time to time without notice to you. Changes will apply to any subsequent orders received.

1. Your account

Please ensure that the details you provide us with are correct and complete and inform us immediately of any changes to the information that you provided when purchasing.

Vale Blinds Direct Limited reserve the right to refuse access to the web site, terminate accounts, remove or edit content, or cancel orders at our discretion. If we cancel an order, it will be without charge to you. 

Please note incoming and outgoing telephone calls may be recorded for training or monitoring purposes.

3. Access to the Vale Blinds web site

We will make all reasonable endeavours to ensure that availability of the web site will be uninterrupted and that transmissions will be error-free. However, due to the nature of the Internet and the World Wide Web, this cannot be guaranteed. Also, your access to the web site may also be occasionally suspended or restricted to allow for repairs, maintenance, or the introduction of new facilities or services. We will attempt to limit the frequency and duration of any such suspension or restriction.

4. Licence for web site access

Vale Blinds Direct Limited grant you a limited licence to access and make personal use of this web site, but not to download (other than page caching) or modify it, or any portion of it, except with the express written consent of Vale Blinds Direct Limited. This licence does not include any resale or commercial use of this web site or its contents; any collection and use of any product listings, descriptions, or prices; any derivative use of this web site or its contents; any downloading or copying of account information for the benefit of another merchant; or any use of data mining, robots, or similar data gathering and extraction tools.

This web site or any portion of this Web site may not be reproduced, duplicated, copied, sold, resold, visited, or otherwise exploited for any commercial purpose without our express written consent.

5. Our contract

When you place an order to purchase a product from Vale Blinds , we will send you an E-mail confirming receipt of your order and containing the details of your order. Your order represents an offer to us to purchase a product which is accepted by us when we send E-mail confirmation to you that we've dispatched that product to you. That acceptance will be complete at the time we send the confirmation of shipment to you. Any products on the same order which we have not confirmed as being shipped do not form part of that contract. Payment can be made by VISA Debit, Mastercard, VISA Electron, VISA Credit or using PayPal. Payments made by Debit or Credit card are processed at point of order at which point your card will be debited the for the full amount of the order.

Placing an order over the phone automatically means that you accept our terms and conditions.

6. Pricing

All prices quoted include VAT at the current rate, where applicable.

Please note that prices can change without prior notification in accordance with manufacturers updates.

7. Electronic communications

When you visit the Vale Blinds website or send E-mails to us, you are communicating with us electronically. We often communicate with you by E-mail or by posting notices on the web site. For contractual purposes, you consent to receive communications from us electronically and you agree that all agreements, notices, disclosures and other communications that we provide to you electronically satisfy any legal requirement that such communications be in writing. This condition does not affect your statutory rights.

8. Alteration of Service or Amendments to the Conditions

We reserve the right to make changes to our web site, policies, and these conditions of use at any time. You will be subject to the policies and conditions of use in force at the time that you use the web site or that you order goods from us, unless any change to those policies or these conditions is required to be made by law or government authority (in which case it will apply to orders previously placed by you). If any of these conditions is deemed invalid, void, or for any reason unenforceable, that condition will be deemed severable and will not affect the validity and enforceability of any remaining condition.

9. Events beyond our reasonable control

We will not be held responsible for any delay or failure to comply with our obligations under these conditions if the delay or failure arises from any cause which is beyond our reasonable control. If we are unable to fulfill your order within 30 days we will give you the choice to either cancel your order or wait for us to fulfill your order, All guarantees are exclusive and in lieu of all other obligations, liabilities or warranties. In no event shall Vale Blinds be liable or responsible for incidental or consequential damages or for any other direct or indirect damage, loss, cost of fitting, expense or fee.

The indicated delivery lead times are approximate only and there is no right to compensation if actual delivery takes longer.

Vale blinds products are designed to be self-fit and installation instructions, technical guidance and video assistance are always available, if you feel you need to employ an external fitting service, best practice is to have the products in hand prior to arranging any dates, as we cannot be held responsible for any fitting cost

We would advise  that This condition does not affect your statutory rights.

The images on our website are for illustrative purposes only. Products and fabric batch colours can differ or change slightly.

From time to time fabrics and products become discontinued and will be removed from our website at the earliest opportunity without prior notification.

10. Waiver

If you breach our terms and conditions and we take no action, we will still be entitled to use our rights and remedies in any other situation where you breach these conditions.

11. Governing law and jurisdiction

These conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Scotland, England and Wales. You agree, as we do, to submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the English and Scottish courts.

13. Your Right To Cancel

In the event that you wish to cancel your order, you may do so by sending a letter to our postal address or by sending an e-mail to orders@valeblinds.com stating your order number. Vale Blinds will process the request and confirm in writing or by e-mail that your order has been cancelled.

All of our made to measure blinds are manufactured especially for you and therefore orders may only be changed or cancelled within 24 hours of the order being placed.

Many of the goods we sell are made according to your sizes (Bespoke/Made to Measure). It is your charge to take the correct measurements of your window, we are always available to discuss and advise on your requirements and ultimately the measuring and product choice is the customer’s responsibility, if you are unsure about any products or how to measure please call our customer services team for help before ordering or consult the online measuring guide. You must check the product details and measurements of the goods before placing your order online or by phone and are responsible for checking the order via the email confirmation. We cannot accept returns or refund the money if you have given us incorrect measurements as we will not be able to resell the goods as they are made to measure.

Made to measure products are custom made to your precise requirements. Once made our products are suitable only to you and therefore cannot be cancelled or returned. Because of this it is extremely important that you are sure about the product that you want and also the size you require. We strongly recommend that you double check your order to ensure that the products ordered and measurements taken are correct. This does not affect your statutory rights.

If you decide to cancel and we have already shipped your order but you have not received it, please refuse to accept the delivery when it is attempted and advise us of this situation.

If upon receipt of your order you wish to cancel or make a return, please contact us in the first instance by post or email info@valeblinds.com  and we will forward return paper work, we can arrange for your order to be collected at a cost of £19.95 (If nobody is in on the agreed collection date an additional charge will be incurred for any subsequent collections) or you may arrange for the order to be shipped back to us by your own means.(excluding any made to measure products)

In the first instance cancellations must be make in post or email info@valeblinds.com. The deadline is observed if your cancellation has been sent within 7 days from delivery of your goods. We would ask that you include your original order number a copy of our returns form and a copy of any email correspondence. we request that the goods are returned within 14 days of cancellation.(excluding any made to measure products)

Orders may only be returned once confirmed to you by Vale Blinds in writing or by e-mail and will only be accepted if the products are in the original packaging and have not been fitted or attempted to be fitted.We will be unable to make any refund until the blind has been returned and inspected by our quality control team, please allow up to 28 days for your credit to be processed

14. Return of VALE Roof/Skylight/Loft Blinds

If for any reason you decide to return your order, please send a letter our postal address or send an email to info@valeblinds.com  stating your order number and reason for return. Vale Blinds will process your request and inform you of the required action to take in writing or by email.

If for any reason you decide to return your blinds, please note we will raise a charge of £19.95 per order to cover our costs in arranging collection or you may arrange for your order to be shipped back to us by your own means.(If nobody is in on the agreed collection date an additional charge will incurred for any subsequent collections) or you may arrange for your order to be shipped back to us by your own means

If you return any Vale roof/skylight/loft blinds that have been incorrectly ordered by yourself, within 14 days of receipt and in their original condition (unfitted, unopened with any seals and shrink wrap intact) you will be charged an administration fee as follows:

Standard/ready made SKYE Vale roof/skylight/loft blinds (next day SKYE stock blackout blinds) will be charged at £5.00 per blind.

Standard/ready made VALE roof/skylight/loft blinds (next day VALE stock blackout blinds) will be charged at £10.00 per blind.

Bespoke/special sizes/made to order Vale roof/skylight/loft blinds (any other colour or style of blind) will be charged at £20.00 per blind.

This charge will apply in all instances unless the blinds that you have received are different to those ordered or are damaged/faulty upon delivery.

If you have received a faulty product, please contact us within 5 working days of receipt, please include your order number and photographic evidence of the fault, this will enable us to deal quickly and efficiently with and the problem.

If Vale Blinds have made an error with your order, Vale Blinds will bear all costs for collecting and supplying you with the correct products.

Please be aware credits and refunds can take up to 30 days.

Order of Genuine VELUX Blinds

Please allow 7 -10 WORKING days for delivery of your Genuine Velux Blinds. If you have not received your blind by the tenth working day, please let us know and we will track the order for you.
Delivery for orders (to most UK Postcodes) over £75.00 is free. For orders under £75.00 a charge of £7.80 will be made for delivery
 
All Genuine Velux blind deliveries are made by TNT. Please note we cannot book or give a time for delivery, however you can give an alternative delivery address at time of order.

Return of Genuine VELUX Blinds

If you have received a faulty product, please contact us request in writing or by e-mail info@valeblinds.com  within 5 working days of receipt, please include your order number and photographic evidence of the fault, this will enable us to deal quickly and efficiently with and the problem and we will, by return, inform you of any action to take.

However, if your blind arrives and you have made an error with the order (e.g.) wrong size/colour, or you decide that you do not want the blind after all, please contact us in writing or by e-mail info@valeblinds.com  within 5 working days of receipt, please include your order number and we will by return inform you of any action required.
 
 All items must be returned unfitted,unopened with any seals and shrink wrap intact,

15. BEAT-A-PRICE

BEAT-A-PRICE is for NEW orders only. EXCEPTIONS are:

  1. Existing Orders
  2. Competitors offering 1 off Promotional price
  3. Companies based outside of UK mainland
  4. Deliveries outside of UK mainland
  5. Loss Leaders
  6. Once price agreed and placed this is binding and cannot be cancelled or part refunded
  7. BEAT-A-Price will only be available once on any single order
  8. Only One Promotional Offer can be redeemed per customer per Household.
  9. A Promotional Offer cannot be used with any other offer.
  10. A Promotional Offer cannot be used with any other manufacturer!
  11. Promotional Offer applies to orders over £50.00.

 
16. NEXT DAY SERVICE

All and only Next Day Products will be denoted by the current Vale `Next Day` banner

A)     Skylight blinds    The` Next Day Service`  is offered for orders placed before 1pm Monday – Friday, Orders placed after 1pm on a Friday will be dispatched on the following working day, excluding bank holidays and public holidays,

 

B)      Blackout Roller Blinds   The `Next Day Service`  is offered for orders placed before 1pm Monday – Thursday, Orders placed before 11.30am on a Friday will be delivered on the following Monday , Weekend orders placed before 11.30am on Sunday will be delivered on the following Tuesday, excluding bank holidays and public holidays, this is a bespoke product made to your measurement’s, please measure carefully as this product cannot be returned due to a measurement error

 

C)      Wooden Venetian Blinds   The `Next Day Service`  is offered for orders placed before 11.30am Monday – Thursday, Orders placed before 12.00 noon on a Friday will be delivered on the following Monday , Weekend orders placed before 12.00 noon on Sunday will be delivered on the following Tuesday, excluding bank holidays and public holidays, this is a bespoke product made to your measurement’s, please measure carefully as this product cannot be returned due to a measurement error

When using the `Next Day Service` you are entering to a contract with Vale Blinds. Included in the contract is your responsibility as the `customer` to have someone available at the delivery address to accept this `signed for consignment`.

The standard T&C`s re cancellation rights do not apply on a `Next Day Service` product.

In the unusual case that` Vale Blinds` miss the delivery target, a refund will be issued for the listed amount of the `Next Day Service` only, not including the standard delivery charge.

Should `Next Day` delivery be attempted and fail due to any incorrect delivery information supplied to `Vale Blinds` by the customer or delivery could not be made due to “no one in” at the delivery address a refund for the service will not be issued.

The `Next Day Service` has been negotiated with our individual manufactures, allowing them to extract individual items from their production line and then also use a premium delivery service, as such the additional cost is applied per item and not per order.

Vale Blinds will always offer an identical product on the website without the `Next Day Service` offer should customers not require this ‘Next Day’ service.

17. Guarantee/Warranty
